books

honestly, I have never been really into reading books until 3 weeks ago when i turned myself into seeking for more books to read. yes. i became overwhelmed with the fact that i have read 3 books since then, one book a week, forcibly squeezed into multiples of school requirements for the past three weeks. this all started when, *confession* , i started reading the da vinci code about only three weeks ago. yes, it was the only time i started reading the book. i really really wanted to read it for a very very long time, 2 years to be exact, but I was of so much pride that I refused reading it. I told myself two years ago that I wont be reading the book until I get a hold of the hardbound-colored-with pictures-edition. Then as I heard that a movie was being produced, I thought of buying the book. Nothing happened. The movie was shown in movie houses still there was I with no hard copy. It’s a very damn shame! I put aside my pride and just ended up borrowing my friend’s hard bound–but pictureless–and black printed da vinci copy. I read it up to the 3rd to the last chapter, then watched the movie, then ended the book when I got home. anyway, since then I found myself reading a certain book when I have free time, well, forced free time. I have read By The River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept (for the third time, while looking for another book to read), The Devil Wears Prada(finally, a new book to read), and now, Confessions of a Shopaholic. The last two books definitely gave me a new perspective about the fashion industry (how I envied Miranda Priestly) and well, shopping. Quite honestly, I feel guilty that I kinda have 1/4 resemblance to Becky (the Shopaholic girl). I am amazed on her way of thinking when buying new things because sometimes I too have the same thing in mind. I wonder if I would be able to pull off the things that she’s been doing to avoid her credit card bills! Hmmm?!!! Well there! Amazing! im looking forward to reading all the SHOPAHOLIC series, and trying some shopaholic techniques too. =)

1st long week end of the school year

hmm.. let me see... yeah im on a 3-day vacation which means i could unwind.. heck no! i've got tons of things to do. first, a case for dynalec, then a progress report for feastud, a paper for introso, an orelec3 homework, and, once again, THESIS! hay.. i have been ranting about thesis to my friends and family members. hehe! i just wish we'd be able to finish it on time! please!

one more thing! iv got a livid bump on my finger from playing ball with my brother! it hurts a little but its fine. i hope id be able to catch the football properly on training day. hmm.. speaking of football, i feel bad about not being able to make tambay with the team nowadays. i really miss hanging out with them every day after class just like three terms ago. how i wish thesis was over. anyway, gotta do some school stuff now... ciao!

problem solved

ok.. i just called cebu pacific and they said that to be able to transfer flights, Php 112 must be paid for the seat reservations for one way, and Php625 for the upgrading/transfer fee. DAMN! and if ever we have to cancel our flights, we could refund it. however, Php224 would be deducted from the original price to cover the reservation fees done. oh well.. that solves our trip problem! well.. now, should we cancel or transfer?! we have to DECIDE before August 25 people!

back to reality

Two school weeks has passed and all laziness, gimiking and partying mood must be left behind. Papers, cases, thesis and exams are gradually coming back to my vocabulary after 2 months of forcefully disregarding their existence. I am so glad to have made my first two weeks party-full because everything is back to reality now. I just finished a critique paper due tomorrow and a case due on Tuesday but that ain’t all. I still got one case due on Tues and a thesis to furnish! I am actually feeling so damn concerned about our thesis for we are only given a month to complete everything to be able to move on to the next level, which is also due by the end of the term. Thinking there is Feastud and Dynalab, I can not help myself but worry on how to finish and pass everything.

I have a problem. A huge problem. 16 people in my block, including me, would be going to a trip on August 28. We already bought tickets thinking that we would be off from school on the last week of August just like the past 4 years but damn did the schedules move. Our thesis is due on the 30th of August and I don’t know what to do since the flights can not be moved to another date (I think) because it is a promo that we have availed. The only chance of us pushing through with the trip is by submitting the thesis before August 28. IT IS HARD! DAMN HARD TO FINISH IT ON TIME especially when there are certain concerns to fix within a group. Damn it! Anyway, I wish every school work would come to an end soon.. really soon..
